‘Marhaba Dhofar’ Event to Kick Off on This Date

The first-ever "Marhaba Dhofar" event, hosted by Oman’s Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, is set to launch on Monday, September 16, 2024, highlighting Dhofar's tourism gems.

This exciting event will feature top stakeholders from Oman and Saudi Arabia, aiming to strengthen tourism ties between the two nations.

With 40 Saudi tourism companies and 13 major media figures in attendance, the multi-day program will include guided tours of Dhofar’s most captivating sites, from Salalah’s stunning beaches to the region’s rich archaeological landmarks, which embody the depth of Omani history. Visitors will also experience Dhofar’s famed “Sarb” season and enjoy a glimpse of winter tourism.

In addition to field trips, the event will host discussions and meetings between Omani and Saudi tourism firms to promote collaboration and growth in the tourism industry. This initiative aligns with Oman’s strategy to enhance regional tourism connections and showcase its diverse offerings, including adventure and eco-tourism, relaxation getaways, and conference tourism.

Marhaba Dhofar is set to cement Dhofar’s reputation as a top regional destination, offering unforgettable experiences in natural beauty and cultural heritage.
